April 14, 2025 a thought for today, When a man prays one day and steals six, the Great Spirit thunders and the Evil One laughs. Native American Oklahoma Proverb

The first upload for yesterday was “glimmer micro moment”. Yesterday was Palm Sunday. I thought this image fit that date in time.

The next upload was “date night”. That ship has sailed for me but I still have
an idea of what image may indicate a “date night”. And this is “cooking” wine, by the way.

The last upload for yesterday was “my choice” one of my black and white series.

Life today. It’s another gorgeous day, though they are saying there is a storm coming our way later this afternoon. I went outside to bring the trash can up from the curb. As I was outside I was able to get one of my photos for today.

I got the major part of the bulletin done earlier this morning. Then got the information and photo from Sunday School yesterday prepared next that, along with the description, uploaded to the church Instagram and Facebook accounts. After that I got the last of the names that I have available placed in the Easter dedication leaflet.  Hopefully I will have the rest of the names by Wednesday. I hope to have it printed to send with the bulletins on Thursday. I’m sure the people getting the bulletin by mail would like to have it by Sunday.

One of the uploads for today is another of the “glimmer micro moments”. I have noticed that the dandelions seem to be blooming profusely right now. This particular “group” see to be making up a kind of bouquet.

One of the photo challenges for today is titled “peaches”. I don’t have any fresh peaches on hand but I had a can of peaches and some bisquick so I made peach cobbler after I cleaned out the frig and got the dish washer started.

I have been playing with the idea of getting dog to add to our family. At this time in my life I couldn’t take care of a puppy so I am thinking of an adult dog about 5 years or 6 years old. Hopefully it would be a companion for Sweet Pea as she moves on. She seems to need company but nothing to physically straining. Right now it’s just an idea and it would take some consideration.

The next upload for today is “horse(s)” this is an image from my archives. It is my sister and two of my grandsons checking our one of Tiffany’s horses at the sable where she rode and worked for a while.

The word today is which.  Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart. Marcus Aurelius.  There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures. William Shakespeare.  Life is divided into three terms - that which was, which is, and which will be. Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and from the present, to live better in the future. William Wordsworth.  The best part of beauty is that which no picture can express. Francis Bacon.  Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. John Quincy Adams.  Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. Victor Hugo.  Behavior is the mirror in which everyone shows their image. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.  There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will. Epictetus.  Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. Henry Ward Beecher.  Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues hence, in the soul in which this virtue does not exist there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance. Saint Augustine.  That which is false troubles the heart, but truth brings joyous tranquillity. Rumi.  Re-examine all that you have been told... dismiss that which insults your soul. Walt Whitman.

The last upload for today is “peaches”. I don’t have any on hand as I mentioned above. This is a slice of the peach cobbler I made just for this image....well, maybe for my dessert too.

Article: Here is yet something else involving technology entering our modern lives. This might be one where AI would work well. The title is “Developer Hoping to Finish City’s First 3D-Printed Building This Spring”. The first 3D-printed home in Columbus was started last summer. It the 3D printing was completed in 23 hours. The rest, insulation between the “cavities” in the walls, the roof, and he doors and windows have taken longer. Some of the interior will be wooden siding, other will be left as is to help “tell the story of how the house was built”. The person building the house hopes to build more and is “looking for investors to help him pursue those projects”. They are looking forward to supplying more affordable housing. In doing some research I found a bit more about the 3D-printing. “The concept of 3D printed houses has roots stretching back to the 1940s”. Construction in 3D-printing “has evolved significantly”. The first “fully habitable 3D printed house occupied in 2018".

I think it will be coney’s for dinner.
